Dear Friend of the Arroyo,
Together we've made tremendous progress in protecting and restoring the natural splendor of the Arroyo Seco. This great canyon and stream provides us with water, wildlife, habitat and recreation. This year we have a tremendous opportunity to expand our programs and to acccelerate the Arroyo restoration program.
- Pasadena's Arroyo Seco Master Plan and the LA River Revitalization Program are unfolding
- The US Army Corps of Engineers has initiated their Arroyo Seco Ecosystem Study
- We have now begun construction on the Central Arroyo Seco Stream Restoration Program
- A new LA planning effort focuses on the vital Arroyo Seco Confluence.
But we need to further accelerate the momentum, and for that we urgently need your help now.
That’s why, as 2007 comes to a close, I’m requesting you to do two things:
- Share your views on ASF’s watershed programs for 2008 by answering a short survey. This will be a big help to us and to the organizations and agencies working to improve the Arroyo as we prepare for the upcoming year.
- Make a special donation to support ASF’s watershed education and protection program. We need to raise $50,000 to expand our programs.
I already know how important the Arroyo is to you. Won’t you please act on that belief now, when your help is most needed? Your tax-deductible donation and responses to our 2008 Arroyo Survey will go a long way toward protecting our region's greatest natural treasure for the sake of our children and grandchildren.
I look forward to your reply. Thanks for helping us accelerate the Arroyo restoration momentum.
With gratitude,

Tim Brick, Managing Director
