This has been a remarkable year in the Arroyo Seco with some big challenges and achievements. Though it all the Arroyo Seco Foundation has been there in the lead, planting more than 2500 trees in the fire-scared upper watershed, working to restore conditions for native fish and wildlife in the mountains, supporting the efforts of the US Forest Service to re-open the Gabrielino National Trail in the Arroyo, working withe the US Army Corps of Engineers to develop an ecosystem restoration plan, and defending Hahamongna from the County Flood Control District's devastation mining and trucking operation for Hahamongna. Hahamongna Native Plant Nursery has provided thousands of spectacular plants to restore local habitat and beautiful the yards and gardens of our region.
Your contribution will help support vital preservation efforts, volunteer activity and educational campaigns, while protecting our region's greatest natural treasure for future generations.
