Caltech gets active in the Arroyo
The following week, forty Caltech students took a field trip to tour Hahamongna Watershed Park and the Upper Arroyo. This event was sponsored by the environmental club Caltech Y, led by PhD candidate Toni Lee. The gorgeous January weather made for a wonderful afternoon hike. The students enjoyed getting out of the lab to take in the natural beauty of Hahamongna. Local Hahamongna enthusiasts, Petrea Burchard, Barbara Ellis and Roger Klemm, were on hand to share their knowledge and passion of Hahamongna. Physics graduate student Michael Mendenhall got some amazing pictures of Hahamongna that can be seen here: Hahamongna Magic
