The US Forest Service is holding a public meeting to discuss and solicit comments on the Environmental Analysis of a County of LA sediment removal in Big Tujunga canyon.

Description:

Dear Interested Members of the Public and Agencies:

The Angeles National Forest invites you to a public meeting to share information and solicit comments regarding the Big Tujunga Reservoir Sediment Rerrioval project, proposed by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works (DPW).
The meeting will be held at City of Los Angeles - City Council District 2, Sunland-Tujunga Field Office, 7747 Foothill Blvd, Tujunga, CA 91042, from 6:00-8:00 PM, on Tuesday, July 24,2012.

This meeting is part of public scoping required by the National Environmental Policy Act
(NEPA). Short informational presentations will be given by both the Forest Service and DPW,
and will include the DPW proposal, an estimated project timetable, and an overview of the
environmental review process. The remainder of the meeting will be an open house format, with
staff available to answer questions and take written comments.
Notice of this meeting is being sent as a follow up to a May 10, 2012 Big Tujunga Sediment
Removal Project notification, sent out to 275 interested parties. In addition to the public
