The Golden Necklace

Thank you for exploring the Golden Necklace Trail Project, a cooperative effort between the Arroyo Seco Foundation and graduate and undergraduate Urban and Regional Planning Students at California State Polytechnic University at Pomona.

Our goal is an interconnected trailsystem across the greater Los Angeles Region. Although the Los Angeles and San Gabriel Rivers already have trails, there is no interconnectivity, no consistent signage, and few amenities to support a unified trail system. "The Golden Necklace" will be a regional, intermodal trail system designed to facilitate hikers, bikers, and horse riders throughout the area.
