Content: | Know neighbor I must be one of the few people that actually believe having an NFL team in the Rose Bowl would be a good thing. It would stimulate our local economy and hopefully provide more jobs. The main concern that people have is that they don\'t want the Rose Bowl\'s appearance to change. Don\'t people realize that in order for things to grow and prosper, sometimes they have to change? A rose bush must be pruned in order to grow. So why not \"prune\' the Rose Bowl, so that it to can continue to prosper? In order for the Rose Bowl to still be a viable venue for events (sports and concerts) it may have to \"get with the times.\' The Rose Bowl has already lost its soccer team and who knows how much longer UCLA will stick around. Do people expect this venue to survive on only one game (the New Year\'s Day game) and a couple of concerts per year? I don\'t think so. If I\'m not mistaken, most of the people moved into the area after the Rose Bowl was in place, right? They knew that the Rose Bowl was a football stadium, right? So why do they have a problem with football actually being played there? I just don\'t get it. If they can\'t deal with the traffic and noise, then tell them next time to move next door to a library.
