Content: | Make car-less a routine How great it was to see the people of the Arroyo Seco walking and biking on the Parkway. The trees, hawks and people seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. Now comes our challenge: Stay on our bikes. Take our public transportation and stay out of our cars. A morning without cars on the freeway is great, but we must make the change permanent. By doing so, we will clean our air, improve the health of our communities and make our cities livable. As Ghandi said, \"There is more to life than increasing its speed.\' Jeff Chapman Los Angeles |
