Content: | The first Pasadena Rock’n’Roll Half Marathon will take place Sunday, prompting the city to close several central streets from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event starts and ends at the Rose Bowl. The route goes from the Arroyo Seco down Colorado Boulevard and Green Street as far as Wilson Avenue, and will travel on portions of Wilson, Orange Grove and Lake avenues as well as California Boulevard. From 6:30 to 11:45 a.m., the city will close the onramp and offramp at the Orange Grove Avenue/Colorado Boulevard exit off the Ventura (134) Freeway. All other freeway ramps will be unaffected. The race begins at 7:30 a.m., and the awards ceremony will take place at 9:15 a.m. A concert at the finish line featuring Sugar Ray will begin at 10 a.m. The event is scheduled to wrap up at noon. All streets are expected to reopen by 1 p.m. Parking restrictions will be in place on race day, with cars parked along the route after 2 a.m. Sunday towed. Towed vehicles will be stored at a temporary impound lot at the Central Library, 285 E. Walnut St., until 1 p.m. Sunday. Some bus lines will be rerouted during the event.
