The Natural Resources and Environmental Commission and the Parks and Recreation Commission reviewed the conceptual design for the Arroyo Seco Bicycle and Pedestrian Trail Project and presented it to the South Pasadena City Council on January 16. Project consultant Mr. Doug Grove provided an update on the status of the project during the meeting.

The trail is intended for recreational purposes to benefit joggers, bikers, and walkers along the Arroyo Seco. Grove explained some expected components of the project, such as benches, a rest area, and a city historical monument.

Grants Analyst Ms Tracey Perkosky gave a presentation on the city’s Grants Program. According to the council, the design was funded by a grant received from the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy.

The council received and filed the conceptual design. The project will next transition to the engineering and the final design stage.
