Content: | Thursday, April 07, 2005 - A contingent of developers and Carson city officials will head to New York next week to discuss with NFL executives the plans for a football stadium on the 157-acre site that formerly served as a trash dump. Among the issues to be discussed at their Monday meeting is the price developer Steve Hopkins is asking to clean up and turn over about half the site to the NFL. \"I\'m sure the number didn\'t shock anybody,\" Carson economic development manager Ron Winkler said. \"They\'ll also have follow up questions on design circulation, parking, what the flexibility is between the site plan and the layout -- those kinds of things.\" Joining Hopkins and Winkler will be representatives of Hopkins\' development partner, Lennar Co., Carson mayor Jim Dear and city manager Jerry Groomes. NFL executive Neil Glat said there should be no significance attached to Carson being the only one of the four sites whose representatives plan to visit New York. The other sites -- Anaheim, the Coliseum and the Rose Bowl -- are continuing their discussions with the NFL by phone. Coliseum general manager Pat Lynch will meet with his team of consultants by phone today with Glat and his associates, who are expected to visit the sites here later this month. Tice should expect fine: Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Tice likely will be fined by the NFL for scalping Super Bowl tickets. NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue said Tice broke league rules by reselling the tickets, something he called \"clear violations of our policies.\" \"At some point, I will be imposing discipline,\" Tagliabue said. \"I don\'t think it will include a suspension.\" He said \"a fine or multiple fines\" would probably be appropriate. Owens wants new deal: One year after signing a seven-year contract worth just over $46 million, Terrell Owens wants to rework his deal, Owens\' new agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said after meeting with Eagles president Joe Banner. Neither Rosenhaus nor Banner would discuss what Owens wants, but it is unlikely the Eagles will be willing to accommodate him. Rolle settles charge: Baltimore Ravens cornerback Samari Rolle agreed to probation and anger management and marriage counseling, settling a charge for allegedly hitting his wife in February. Woman sues Vick: A 26-year-old woman is suing Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, claiming he knowingly gave her a sexually transmitted disease. In the civil lawsuit, Sonya Elliott, who says she is Vick\'s former girlfriend, claims Vick gave her genital herpes in an April 2003 encounter. Daily News Wire Services contributed to this report.
