Content: | Now it appears the final chapter in the romance of Pasadena and the National Football League can be written. Now, as we close this tattered Rose-Bowl storybook, we must open another, \"The Ledger.\" This book details money expended. This expense ledger should be opened to reveal Pasadena\'s Rose Bowl Operating Commission, its personnel and City Council members and invited guests, transportation, accommodation and dining costs, and any money spent in the attempt to bring the National Football League to Pasadena. The many consultants\' fees and additional expenses covering transportation and accommodation, dining etc. must also be shown. All communication costs also need to be in this accounting. The city manager\'s time, the City Council\'s time and staff involved in the matter should have cost figures submitted. Further, any meetings with the general public relative to the issue are to be included. Travel junket expenses to New York, Wisconsin and Hawaii should be detailed. Direct and indirect items not mentioned in this letter, and are relative to this quackish folly, should be included. This cost audit must be presented to the citizens of Pasadena, posthaste. I am certain city Finance Director Jay Goldstone will obtain the results that residents deserve, and that many will demand. As someone once asked: \"Whose city is it anyway?\" James E.
