The Arroyo Seco project � which is getting $149,750 in funds � would include restoration of 200 feet of historic trail in Brookside Park in Pasadena, officials said.

Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich has awarded nearly $2.5 million in grants to help fund 18 Los Angeles County trail projects, officials announced Tuesday.

The money is part of the 2006 Fifth Supervisorial District\'s Competitive Trails and Cities grant program to help create, improve and expand the county\'s trails and parks. Among the projects being funded is the Central Arroyo Seco trail restoration project in Pasadena and the Southern California Edison property passive-use park and parking facility project in La Cañada Flintridge.
