Content: | I don\'t like to harp on the same subject all the time, but I think it\'s necessary to let the politicians realize that not all of us are complete idiots! The politicians keep allowing over-development, and evidently the environmentalists don\'t take into consideration the water situation in Southern California and go along with it. I\'d like to point out to the environmentalists that too many people, as well as too much trash, is pollution. Lack of water and too many people is a sure sign of an end to quality of life. The Dec. 13 issue of Star-News claims the Pasadena Department of Water and Power is looking to setting water usage rules. When are they going to inform the city fathers that the city just cannot do any more developing until they have the water problem solved? It just seems to this peon that it makes sense to not worsen the problem. Not being entirely stupid, I realize the whole answer to the questions I ask: Money. It seems as though some people can\'t get enough of it! I have nothing against people making money - legitimately. It would certainly be novel to have some politicos who were really interested in what is truly in the best interests of the general population! Harry B. Jakeway Arcadia |
