PASADENA - The California Art Club, which this year marks 100 years in the city, is celebrated for keeping up its founders\' time-honored techniques of painting \"en plein air.\" In the outdoor setting of the Kidspace Museum garden Tuesday, artists Peter Adams - the club president - and Nancy Popenoe kept up the Arroyo Seco tradition by sharing their expertise with 30 kindergartners through third-graders from the Pasadena YMCA. how to see colors and shapes in nature and translate them into a painting. The resulting works created by both the artist-teachers and their students will be displayed at a special exhibition during the museum\'s Free Family Night on Aug. 4.
