Now that the County of Los Angeles has issued the Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Devil's Gate Sediment Removal and Management Program, it is useful to go back and review the comments that were made by various organizations and activists at the start of the process two years ago. In October 2011 the County held several scoping meetings to solicit the view of organizations and local residents about how to evaluate the environmental aspects of their sediment removal program for Hahamongna and develop the best program possible. The deadline for scoping comments was November, 2011.
Take a look at these scoping statements and consider how the recently-issued DEIR meets the concerns and objectives stated in the scoping hearings.
