Arroyo Restoration Featured at
Statewide California ReLeaf Conference July 30 -- "The Arroyo Seco – A Watershed Approach to Urban Forestry" was the topic of the featured presentation today at the California ReLeaf statewide annual conference held at the University of California at Santa Cruz. \ Lynne Dwyer, Executive Director of North East Trees, and Tim Brick of the Arroyo Seco Foundation delivered a 45-minute presentation in which they outlined the approach and significance of the Arroyo Seco Watershed Restoration Feasibility Study now being completed. They emphasized the power of partnerships and the invaluable environmental values that exist in urban areas. California ReLeaf represents a network of 50 tree-planting and stewardship groups throughout California. North East Trees and the Arroyo Seco Foundation are both members of the network. --- |
