Pasadena extends comment period for Arroyo Seco plan
PASADENA - The city announced Monday that it is extending the public
comment period for the Master Environmental Impact Report for the
Arroyo Seco Master Plan by 30 days.
The public review period will now close on July 31. Afterward, the
MEIR will be revised and re-released.
The MEIR is a sizable and complex document
that outlines the impact of proposed changes to the upper, central and
lower arroyo areas, said Brian League, project manager for the Arroyo
Seco MEIR. These potential impacts include traffic, air quality,
noise, animal life, water and aesthetics.
The draft MEIR and Arroyo Seco Master Plan
are available for reading at the reference desks of all Pasadena
public libraries; at the City Clerk's office in City Hall; at the city
Permit Center at 175 N. Garfield Ave.; and at the Parks and Natural
Resources Division, 200 N. Mountain St.
They are also posted on the city's Web site
at http://www.ci.pasadena.ca.us/planning/ASMP/ASMEIR/ASMEIR.asp
and are available for purchase on CD-ROM at the
Permit Center.
Written comments may be sent to Joshua Hart,
Permit Center, 175 N. Garfield Ave., Pasadena, CA 91109, or e-mailed
to jhartci.pasadena.ca.us. Oral comments can be given to the Parks and
Natural Resources Commission at a public meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday,
June 25, in the Victory Park Center gymnasium, 2527 Paloma St.
