We, the undersigned, urge the Pasadena City Council to reject the Arroyo Seco Water Reuse Project as currently proposed and to support only Arroyo Seco projects that meet all three of these standards:
Nature-based restoration: Projects must restore the Arroyo Seco’s natural functions and character—not industrialize sensitive habitat or parkland.
Biodiversity & species protection: Projects must enhance biodiversity and protect endangered, sensitive, and special-status species with clear, measurable ecological outcomes.
Community-shaped: Projects must be designed through early, inclusive, ongoing community engagement before sites and designs are finalized.
