The crowd gathered in the southwest corner of Hahamongna Watershed Park for the ceremony.

The attendees include Portia Besocke from Hahamongna Nursery, PCC Professor Erica Catanese, Assistant City Engineer Brent Maue and students from the Environmental Horticulture class at Pasadena City College.

The Arroyo Seco Foundation had an informative table displaying some of the plants that will be used for habitat restoration.

The golden shovels are ready for digging.

The dignitaries included Pasadena Public Works Director Ara Maloyan, Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek, Vice Mayor Tyron Hampton, Assistant City Manager Julie Guttierez, Dominic Currey from Senator Anthony Portantino's offce, and ASF's Tim Brick.

The restored Berkshire Creek is already taking shape.
