Pasadena Now: Senator Portantino Scores for the Arroyo . . . Again — $3.5 Million for Arroyo Seco Restoration!

Senator Portantino

"It is a benefit to have a Senator who is familiar with and who appreciates the importance of the Arroyo Seco. Our organization is grateful once again that Portantino has stepped up on our behalf. I am looking forward to seeing how these resources are going to be allocated and am very optimistic that South Pasadena and Pasadena will cooperate with the activist community on the best utilization plan," added Tim Brick, Managing Director, Arroyo Sec Foundation.

Join the Berkskhire Creek Walkthrough

Join us for an informative walkthrough of the Berkshire Creek restoration site in the southwest corner of Hahamongna. Watershed Park. The project team from Pasadena Public Works, Arroyo Seco Foundation and Psomas will lead the tour through the restoration area and discuss the elements of this Urban Stream Restoration Program that is now being planned. The benefits will include flood protection, stream and habitat restoration and public access. We also hope to recruit volunteers to help make the project happen with a lot of community involvement. ASF and Pasadena Are Going Back to Court

Almost five years ago the Arroyo Seco Foundation and Pasadena Audubon went to court to protect Hahamongna. We are currently appealing the final decision on the original Big Dig case and have filed a new case that will be heard in Superior Court.

The new issues concern the size of the Big , air pollution impacts and the deficiencies of the mitigation plan.
