The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors have approved the settlement agreement with the Arroyo Seco Foundation and Pasadena Audubon Society regarding the County Flood Control District's sediment removal program behind Devil's Gate Dam in Hahamongna Watershed Park.
This is the culmination of our ten year campaign to get the Flood Control District to treat Hahamongna in a more environmentally-sensitive way. It is a great victory for all who love Hahamongna and the Arroyo Seco.
Thanks so much for your concern and support!
Believe it or not, Hahamongna Native Plant Nursery is thriving despite the pandemic!
We are observing all appropriate restrictions, and we would like to invite you to come by and take a look at the nursery and see how we are planning to provide thousands of native plants for the County's habitat restoration program.
The Berkshire Creek project was completed just as the health restrictions took effect, so not many people have had the opportunity to take a look at the project that is being hailed as the model for future Arroyo Seco projects.
It's open to the public now, so come by and see it sometime. It's a sign of good things in store for Hahamongna and the Arroyo Seco.
Berkshire is in the southwest corner of Hahamongna Watershed Park. And please be sure to observe social distancing precautions.
