HWP — Restoring A Natural Southeast Entrance

LA County Flood Control District built a freeway-style on-ramp for their trucks through the southeast entrance to Hahamongna Watershed Park during the sediment excavation program. Now they have to restore it to more natural conditions.

Los Angeles County Public Works will host a virtual community meeting on the Devil's Gate Southeast Entrance Improvement Project on November 15, 2021, at 6 PM via Zoom.

The meeting will discuss current design alternatives and include additional public input. This will be the second of three public meetings.

Here is the Arroyo Seco Foundation's input at the first meeting. Restore the Natural Ambience

Whatever Happened to the Army Corps Arroyo Seco Ecosystem Study?

Remember the old Army Corps Arroyo Seco study we've been talking about for twenty years? Well, it seems that since the Corps has dropped the ball on the project for the last five years, LA County Flood Control District now wants to take over leadership of the study.

Come to the Arroyo Currents Online meeting on November 11th to find out more.
