Arroyo Seco Initial Study 

 

The City of Pasadena has issued an Initial Study for the Environmental Impact Report for the Arroyo Seco Master Plan. Pasadena is seeking input from regulatory agencies and the public regarding the scope and intent of the environmental information to be included in the EIR. The Initial Study includes a project description encompassing five elements: Hahamongna Watershed Park, the Central Arroyo, the Lower Arroyo, the Rose Bowl Use Plan and design guidelines.

On October 9th a group of concerned citizens met to discuss the initial study.  The group issued a statement urging the City of Pasadena to delay action on the environmental review until the various elements are more complete.  The citizen's statement can be found at the link below as can the formal statement of the Arroyo Seco Foundation which was submitted October 12, 2000.

 

The comment period has now been extended for an additional thirty days to November 12, 2000. Please send your letters of comment to:
