Content: | My feelings about how well local government is working sometimes revolve around how well the Arroyo Seco is taken care of. Two recent anecdotes: The other day the trailhead where I run every day north of Washington surrounding Brookside Golf Course was covered in graffiti: the trees, the stones, the concrete bridge. I made an anonymous call to City Hall. Less than 24 hours later, it had all been sandblasted away. Beautiful work! On the other hand, the Arroyo is still covered in purple confetti shot off at Beyonce’s concert Saturday night, even more than a mile from the Rose Bowl. Multi-millionaires: Stop littering! |
