Mayfield Kicks Off the Year Cleaning the Arroyo

A big thank you Mayfield Junior School, who once again spent their annual faculty service day with us making the Arroyo a better place for people and wildlife. Volunteers removed numerous bags of trash from the stream and parking lot, including the stormwater capture islands installed as part of our Central Arroyo Stream Restoration Program, as well as serveral bags of invasive cape ivy from the Central Arroyo natural stream area.

Record Drought Intensifies

With "exceptional drought" declared in part of the state and the first ever zero allocation of water from the State Water Project, we want to remind Southern Califorians that there are many ways that all of us can help conserve this essential resource. It may be as small as fixing a leak or as large as installed a drought-tolerant garden. Click here and learn about some of the things you can do, and don't forget that www.socalwatersmart.com offers rebates on many water conservation improvements!
