The Arroyo Seco Ecosystem Restoration Program began more than 20 years ago, but it stalled seven years ago. Supervisor Kathryn Barger has recently announced that the LA County Flood Control District, in partnership with local agencies and stakeholders, will reactivate the program to identify essential improvements to the channel, maximize ecosystem restoration, and ensure flood protection for surrounding communities.
