Arroyo Featured in National Walking Promotion

Arroyo-lovers won't fail to spot the splendiferous scenery in a new short video being promoted by Every Body Walk!, a national campaign to get us off our posteriors.

The brief video, "Paws and Effect: The Benefits of Walking Your Dog," is shot entirely in the Central Arroyo Seco in Pasadena. You'll recognize Brookside Park and the popular Rose Bowl loop. Steven R. McNall, President of the Pasadena Humane Society, is prominently featured as is actor Wil Wheaton of Big Bang Theory and Star Wars.

Every Body Walk! is an online educational campaign aimed at getting Americans up and moving. Through a national network of partners, the campaign is working to spread the message that walking 30 minutes a day, five days a week really can improve your overall health and prevent disease. Every Body Walk! provide news and resources on walking, health information, walking maps, how to find walking groups, a personal pledge form to start walking, as well as a place to share stories about individual experiences with walking.
