Let the River Flow — Stop the Sewer Project
To: LA City Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez:
The Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation's Low-Flow Diversion Project in Sycamore Grove Park is a desecration of our community and of the North Branch tributary of the Arroyo Seco. Local streamflow in Los Angeles is not a waste product and is too precious to put into the sewer.
We support the restoration of native habitat and a low-flow stream in Sycamore Grove Park.
We urge the City of Los Angeles to use nature-based solutions to clean up the Arroyo Seco stream and the Los Angeles River and to promote conservation and biodiversity in our community.
